Ryan and Kelly’s chose to have their wedding at The Olivette in Asheville, NC, a gorgeous wedding venue location right on the French Broad River. It was forecasted to dump rain all day, and that’s basically what it did. Thankfully we had a few breaks here and there, and it ended up being the most perfect day. These two have such a strong connection and love for each other, it’s undeniable.
The rain didn’t stop them from having the best day of their lives, surrounded by their family and friends that are all so dear to them. Kelly’s dad passed away from cancer not long after her wedding, so these photos just mean a whole lot to them, and really became even more special to me. I am beyond honored to do what I do, capturing that Father/Daughter first dance will go down as one of my proudest moments as a photographer. I’ve never seen such emotion from a crowd during those dances. My heart breaks for their family for losing such a wonderful man. I only knew him for a day but his heart was so incredibly kind and I could feel the intense love from everyone for him. The way he looked at Kelly that day will forever be burned into my memory, He was so proud. I hope you can feel something from these photos, too.
Ryan + Kelly, thank you so much for trusting me to capture these moments for you. XOXO
I’m so excited to blog this incredible tiny wedding! Mario + Dominique chose to have their closest friends and family join them in Breckenridge, Co for their wedding ceremony. They rented a beautiful Airbnb to stay and and also had their reception in front of the gorgeous windows with a view of the snow-capped mountains. […]
Last September Bobby and Hannah had the most beautiful wedding day in Canton, NC. Their family’s property is tucked in the mountains just outside of Asheville, NC and made the most incredible backdrop for their wedding. This weekend was unfortunately the same weekend Hurricane Florence made landfall, so that brought some unexpected rain the day […]
I could say many words about this wedding day. If you need a little push in the direction of having a small wedding with close family and friends, look no further. Chris + Shannon chose The Ridge in Asheville, NC for their wedding venue. The ceremony was overlooking the gorgeous view of the mountains, with […]
The perfect, most adorable camp wedding at Kanuga in Hendersonville, NC. It was full of gorgeous flowers, vintage china and the coolest invitations. The guests stayed in 1920’s cabins at the camp and enjoyed the weekend sitting on rocking chairs and sipping coffee. Phil + Rachel chose the camp’s woodland chapel for their ceremony, but […]
Clay & Marissa’s wedding was about as close to perfection as it gets. The whole day had such a slow, chill vibe to it and yet it was so special. These two are obsessed with each other and have the sweetest connection. They chose Sunnyside Plantation in Murrells Inlet as their venue, on the South […]
