This blog post has been a long time coming and I’m so excited to finally have these photos on here!

I blogged their engagement session a while ago, Madison and Madison with the same name, same spelling, met in chemistry class and fell in love. Someone needs to make a movie about them, seriously some wild stuff.

They chose to have their wedding at Chestnut Ridge, in Canton, NC. One of my favorite venues featuring an ‘all white’ interior and exterior, paired with some incredible mountain views, just up the road from Asheville, NC. You just can’t beat it.

A gorgeous, boho, backyard wedding in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, at Mount Airy Farms.

Anthony and Taylor’s wedding has deserved a spot on my blog for so long, I am so excited to finally share these photos with the world! They chose The Ridge in Asheville, NC for the awesome mountain views, and their amazing new reception space, the Chateau.

Taking you back to November with this Fall Mountain wedding in Asheville. Adam + Nellie chose an awesome location- a gorgeous Airbnb with an amazing view!

The driveway made the most perfect ceremony spot, surrounded by the colorful trees with the sun peaking through them. The reception was under a tent in the backyard, with a massive floral installation by Farm Girl Flowers and the most perfect garland down the center of the tables. It was a super chilly day, so guests huddled around the heaters in the tent and warmed up by dancing to the live music! Adam wrote Nelly a song and surprised her with a live performance, it was the sweetest thing!!

Nick and Maddie planned a little getaway to Asheville and decided to take advantage of these insane mountain views for their engagement photos. I’ve been to Craggy Gardens so many times, but somehow it always seems to be different every time.

Today I’m so excited to blog Colin + Lauren’s wedding at Triple B Ranch in Rutherfordton, NC. They chose to have a super intimate wedding with their families, and spent the entire weekend together, celebrating. The day they chose to get married turned out to be dreary and rainy. It was hurricane season and one on its way to the coast, which means lots of rain for us in western North Carolina. The plan was for everything to be outside, in open air. But plans change, and they ended up having the most memorable wedding day in the cozy lodge. Complete with roaring fireplaces and fuzzy blankets.

Mike + Katie got married on one of the hottest days of the year in Greenville, SC. It was so hot it was nearly impossible to do photos outside, but that’s just sometimes the way it happens in the Carolinas, so we just rolled with it. The Old Cigar Warehouse has great AC tho, so we kept nice and cool inside! 🙂
They got married in a gorgeous Catholic Church in downtown, and it felt like a royal wedding, the music, the veil, just everything. Not that I actually know what a royal wedding would feel like, I’m just going by the ones I’ve watched on TV at 4 in the morning. 🙂
They had the sweetest speeches at their reception, followed by a liquid nitrogen ice cream bar, which, if I’m honest, was the coolest way to serve dessert I’ve ever seen.

Anthony + Melanie somehow chose the most gorgeous day to get married in the mountains of Asheville. They invited their closest family and friends to hike up Craggy Gardens with them and witness them committing their lives to each other. There was not a dry eye in the crowd, including my own, as they read their personal vows to each other. They were so beautiful, heartfelt and incredibly sweet. We hiked around the top of the mountain together as the sun started setting, and ended with the most beautiful pink light!

Madison and Madison, yup, they have the same name, are quite possibly the cutest ever, their pup, Finnegan may help them out with that a little. I cannot handle the cuteness.

Ryan and Kelly’s chose to have their wedding at The Olivette in Asheville, NC, a gorgeous wedding venue location right on the French Broad River. It was forecasted to dump rain all day, and that’s basically what it did. Thankfully we had a few breaks here and there, and it ended up being the most perfect day. These two have such a strong connection and love for each other, it’s undeniable.

The rain didn’t stop them from having the best day of their lives, surrounded by their family and friends that are all so dear to them. Kelly’s dad passed away from cancer not long after her wedding, so these photos just mean a whole lot to them, and really became even more special to me. I am beyond honored to do what I do, capturing that Father/Daughter first dance will go down as one of my proudest moments as a photographer. I’ve never seen such emotion from a crowd during those dances. My heart breaks for their family for losing such a wonderful man. I only knew him for a day but his heart was so incredibly kind and I could feel the intense love from everyone for him. The way he looked at Kelly that day will forever be burned into my memory, He was so proud. I hope you can feel something from these photos, too.

Ryan + Kelly, thank you so much for trusting me to capture these moments for you. XOXO
