Rustic, Elegant Wedding | The Farm, Candler, NC
Sharing one of my most requested weddings today on the blog! I have had so many people mention this specific wedding when inquiring, so it’s time to share this one! John and Ayumi chose to get married at The Farm, in Candler, NC, right down the road from Asheville. They loved the venue but didn’t want a traditional rustic wedding, instead they opted to mix in modern touches and really made it unique to them. The guests enjoyed the horses and the beautiful property, and the reception was held under the pavilion.
John and Ayumi’s wedding was chalk full of personal touches. My favorite thing they did was write personal notes to each of their guests, left on their place setting. Their family and friends were blown away with such a heartfelt gesture, it was so fun to watch and photograph people reading their notes! They opted for ice cream instead of cake, a sake toast and some super sweet speeches. We wrapped up the evening with some amazing sunset photos in the field the mountain view, followed by dancing and hanging by the fire for the perfect ending to the day.

She was personable, prompt, professional, and really really fun. The photos speak for themselves, but we are thrilled with the end result. On a big day with a lot going on, she made the whole experience of the shoot seem really easy and effortless. Her experience is quite obvious, and knowing when to give us space or step in for photos was something she navigated very well. Hope to get the chance to work with her again one day!
