The perfect, most adorable camp wedding at Kanuga in Hendersonville, NC. It was full of gorgeous flowers, vintage china and the coolest invitations. The guests stayed in 1920’s cabins at the camp and enjoyed the weekend sitting on rocking chairs and sipping coffee. Phil + Rachel chose the camp’s woodland chapel for their ceremony, but there was a pop up thunderstorm that was making it too risky, so they said their vows in a cute little chapel right there at the camp.
Their reception was on a big deck overlooking Kanuga Lake. They had the most gorgeous place settings & flowers that was the work of my friend Nikki from East West Vintage Rentals. And they completed the tables with maybe my favorite detail I’ve ever seen at a wedding. A simple piece of paper, with several stories and memories that happened throughout the course of their relationship. A couple of them even included the recipes that were talked about in the stories. They were so cute and well written, the guests really seemed to love it!
I love little details like this that can make your guests feel more connected to you! That’s what Phil + Rachel’s wedding was all about. Having that connection with their friends and families and celebrating the whole weekend!
She was personable, prompt, professional, and really really fun. The photos speak for themselves, but we are thrilled with the end result. On a big day with a lot going on, she made the whole experience of the shoot seem really easy and effortless. Her experience is quite obvious, and knowing when to give us space or step in for photos was something she navigated very well. Hope to get the chance to work with her again one day!
